Campus Recruitment Training Program
Campus recruitment Training is all about helping students clear the multiple stages of recruitment and ultimately land the job. We continuously enhance Comprehensive Training for all the students at MGI in English Language Proficiency, Quantitative Aptitude, Soft Skills Training, Personality Development, and Interview Techniques & Career Planning. MGI has introduced mandatory Career Development Courses as part of its mainstream curriculum in all of its faculties.
Generally, the procedure for Campus recruitment entails the following
Personal Interview (may consists of a Technical Interview and an HR Interview)
Students go through to rigorous training classes at the college campus. Placement Tests are also conducted in Paper format or in a Computer-based format.
The aptitude test includes questions based on:
Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension
General Knowledge and Current Awareness
The technical test, as the name suggests, is designed to assess your subject knowledge in your area of specialization (for eg. computer programming, mechanical, chemical, civil etc.)
We also conduct Essay Writing tests and/or Psychometric tests based on the requirements.
Group discussion is carried on regularly for students so enhance their interactive skills, communication skills, listening skills, behavior, participation and contribution in a group and importance given to the group objective as well as their own. The aspects on which we groom our students for GD are verbal communication, non-verbal behavior, and conformation to norms, decision-making ability and cooperation.
Students are prepared on the following parameters:
Knowledge of the Topic
Decision Making and Facilitating Skills
Ability to think on ones feet
After rounds of Group Discussion, the students are prepared for the interview. As per the current scenario students are made ready for different interviews by two phases of interview.
A. Technical Interview
The technical interview is designed to measure the student’s learning and understanding of specific concepts in his field of specialization viz. C, C++, Java, microprocessors, Electronics etc. It tests the level of knowledge in the talent area of a student
B. HR Interview
The HR interview is a very critical process in the entire recruitment drive, as it deals with the evaluation of a student as a prospective employee of the organization based on his calibration with the benchmarks that are set for any employee of the organization. The HR interview tests a students on his/her exposure to the practical aspect of his talents, strengths and area of opportunity, basic mannerisms and team working abilities and clarity of objectives and future goals. Students are prepared according to the above reqirements.

Whatever be the field, everything is getting advanced.These updates on various fields cannot be included in the student curriculum. The students have to always keep their eyes on what new things are arriving day by day.
This is where the seminars are of great importance. Seminars are capable of keeping the students updated with the technologies. Seminars provide latest information about the things which are happening in science and technology. Students cannot improve their knowledge from textbooks alone. They must be take part in various seminars on latest topics. Inviting eminent personalities who have achieved some feat in science and technology to take some seminars for the students greatly help them interact with present and ongoing advancements in the technical fields. Seminars also help them to convey their own ideas. They start thinking about new things which they think could be implemented practically. Through conducting seminars they can make others understand what is their idea is all about.
Workshop provides a way to create an intensive educational experience in a short amount of time, when the time for a more comprehensive effort may not be available. Workshop can introduce a new concept, spurring participants to investigate it further on their own, or can demonstrate and encourage the practice of actual methods. It’s a great way to teach hands-on skills because it offers participants a chance to try out new methods and fail in a safe situation. Failure is often the best teacher, and failure in this instance doesn’t carry a cost. At the same time, feedback, from both the presenter and peers in the group, helps a participant understand what she can do to avoid failure in a real situation. Especially for people who work together, a workshop can help to create a sense of community or common purpose among its participants.
Industrial visit has its own importance in a career of a student who is pursuing a professional degree. It is considered as a part of college curriculum, mainly seen in engineering/MBA courses.
Objective of industrial visit is to provide students an insight regarding internal working of companies. We know, theoretical knowledge is not enough for making a good professional career.
With an aim to go beyond academics, industrial visit provides student a practical perspective on the world of work. It provides students with an opportunity to learn practically through interaction, working methods and employment practices. It gives them exposure to current work practices as opposed to possibly theoretical knowledge being taught at college.
Industrial visits provide an excellent opportunity to interact with industries and know more about industrial environment. Industrial visits are arranged by colleges to students with an objective of providing students functional opportunity in different sectors like IT, Manufacturing and services, finance and marketing.
Industrial visit helps to combine theoretical knowledge with industrial knowledge. Industrial realities are opened to the students through industrial visits.
While industry visits and academia are important aspects of knowledge building, there is one realm where students can learn a lot from: Expert Lectures. Every year, many expert sessions are organized in MGI. Eminent personalities from academic world and reputed organizations across the country visit the campus to share their knowledge and experience with budding minds. Their rich experiences and wealth of knowledge provide abundant insights to the professionals of tomorrow. These enriching sessions provide a platform for students to clear their doubts, get answer to their innumerable questions, and even put forth their views on matters relevant to their studies and their careers.
