Entrepreneurship Development Cell

Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) of Malwa Institute Of Science & Technology is formally known as M-Tycoons). It is an entirely student run body with an objective to create an entrepreneurial ecosystem in the Institute and beyond so that youngsters can convert their entrepreneurial aspirations into their mainstream career selection.

Today, we at MIST, will required vibrancy, can showcase our entrepreneurial journey or process, which could take shape with continuous and sustainable effort of a dedicated team behind it with adequate professional to academic guidance and acumen. Campus at this juncture is having a dedicated entrepreneurship development Cell (EDC) where innovation is included up to patent filling apart from nurturing early to mature stage start-ups technology to non-technology based.

With the prevailing concept that Entrepreneurs are not only born but can also be identified, trained and created, we have established Entrepreneurship Development Cell in our campus . E-cell MIST is best defined as a team that is focused on nurturing the Entrepreneurial spirit amongst the aspiring next generation professionals To summarize, E-cell MIST is truly a classic example of Learning & Development, acquiring Entrepreneurship at its best.

Our mission is to coordinate the entrepreneurial activities. To develop the entrepreneur culture in the institute. To contribute in maximizing the start-ups.

We are focused on nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit amongst the aspiring next generation professionals.

The cell has been functioning in collaboration with many organizations which among others includes:

EDC is working towards balancing the nation’s comparative advantage in availability of low skilled labour with skill development required by future generations to take advantage of lost opportunities. Entrepreneurship development cell is dedicated to promote the spirit of entrepreneurship among students. It is responsible for initiatives which would foster an environment which is conducive for entrepreneurship. Sincere efforts are made to ensure that original and innovative ideas get the right direction, molding these ideas into successful ventures.

• The cell has the basic objective of generating the spirit of "Self Employment" and "Self Reliance" among youth.
• To create awareness among them to choose entrepreneurship as
• career and create jobs at a breathtaking pace and can move the world of business forward.
• Being an e-cell member one always gets the best mentoring & guidance whenever needed.
• To create environment for innovation and self employment through formal and Non-formal programmes.
• Inculcating the spirit of 'Entrepreneurship' in youth.

• Conducted workshops on entrepreneurship development for students and Faculties both.
• Organized expert lectures to motivate students.
• Developing students' initiatives into the frame of E-Cell.
• Organized skill development activities.
• Celebrated Woman's day, World Health Day and World Earth Day: coordinated by E-cell.
• Organized "Joy of Giving Week" to develop corporate social responsibility in students.

To coordinate the entrepreneur activities. To develop the entrepreneur culture in the institute. To contribute in maximizing the start-ups. Following are the Terms & Conditions for E-Cell Membership:

• Rs. 400/- Fee for the membership is to be paid for the year 2022-2023 (includes a Kit). This fee will be used to fund the E-Cell events in future. Renewal Charges every year Rs. 250/-. This amount is NON-REFUNDABLE.
• Membership will not be activated until the total amount for registration is paid.
• All students to be dressed in proper Uniform.
• Student who will not be attending 2 consecutive events will not be allowed to attend the third event.
• Back-outs from the event should be informed 2 days prior.
• 75% attendance a must for all students in CDC Classes.
• Any E Cell student found engaged in any indisciplinary activities may debared.

Malwa Institute Of Science & Technology with NEN has achieved to develop the entrepreneurship capabilities of the institute leveraging a high impact methodologies, models, frameworks and best practices for entrepreneurship development and sustainable infrastructure and programs. MIST with further focus to become center of excellence and regional hubs utilizing the opportunity by performing in all the platforms provided by NEN.

In 2016, Malwa Institute Of Science & Technology were one among the honor roll award winner for our E-Week activities completed successfully. The award was judged upon the reach, Impact and Sustainability of the events completed.

In 2015, Malwa Institute Of science & Technology students awarded with the presentable skill award in Diwali Mela Competition organized at Altius College, Indore.
